ACAP reported that a total of 30,547 tourists visited the region in the period, including 10,019 visitors from South Asian countries and 20,528 from other nations.
Project Chief Dr Rabin Kadariya said that the figure represents a slight decrease of 185 visitors compared to the same period last year. He attributed the drop mainly to the Gen-Z protest demonstrations in September and weather-related disruptions, which affected the arrival of Indian tourists in particular.

Dr Kadariya noted that 28,705 tourists had entered the area in FY 2023/24, while 30,732 tourists visited the region in Asoj of FY 2024/25, adding that Asoj and Kartik are regarded as the peak trekking months in the Annapurna region.
He expressed optimism that tourist arrivals will continue to rise in Kartik (October 18–November 16), as both foreign and domestic tourists head to the mountains following the Tihar festivities. “Last Kartik, the region welcomed 33,310 foreign tourists, and this year’s number is expected to be similar or even higher,” he said.
The Annapurna Conservation Area, spanning 7,600 square kilometres, covers 87 wards across 15 local levels in the districts of Kaski, Lamjung, Manang, Myagdi, and Mustang. The region remains one of the world’s most popular destinations for trekking and adventure tourism.
