A total of 19 Nepali nationals deported by the United States for illegal entry and overstaying arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday evening.

According to Senior Immigration Officer Anjan Neupane, the group, comprising 17 men and two women, was flown in via a chartered flight arranged by U.S. authorities. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), the TIA Immigration Office completed all necessary procedures before handing them over to the Nepal Police for further processing.

This latest group adds to the growing number of Nepalis deported from the U.S. for immigration-related violations. So far, 215 Nepali nationals have been deported and repatriated under similar circumstances.

Authorities have not disclosed further details about the individuals or their cases. Still, immigration officials emphasized ongoing coordination with U.S. agencies to manage such cases in accordance with international and national protocols.
